We tried the goose express and loved it! Super simple, well explained, very tasty in taste, the kitchen stays clean - and such a large portion that we can eat it again. Great idea! Is there a duck or leg of lamb like this at Christmas?

"Alte Schmelz" is a family restaurant where the name fits the ambience 100%, absolutely rustic furnishings with a certain charm. The food #foodporn per excellence !!!! Unfortunately we live too far away, otherwise we would be regular customers! Absolute recommendation❤

I'm very satisfied. The prices are justified, the food is good, the staff friendly. Parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant and on the other side of the street. So all in all very good.

I love to eat there again and again. Really good cuisine ... keep it up. In summer it is best to reserve a table 2 days in advance.

We waited an hour for our meal in the evening. Our little son even asked the friendly wait staff when the food was finally coming. The boss found the long waiting time "normal", since every guest is freshly cooked. I can't really say how the food tasted. When it came to the table it was almost dark and I was cold. Then I ate my plate quickly, as our son of understandable white no longer felt like it. We were met with the invoice amount.

We were passing through and wanted to have a drink there, the staff welcomed us like that, they made a reservation, we no, then you have to take a seat here (2 rather small garden benches with a table without cushions, very unkind "sinner's bench") We sit down there, the staff continues to serve, there are other guests who have probably reserved, they are served first and receive their order, after which we wait a moment to see if we will be served but nothing !!! We go without having achieved anything!

We had a nice, shady spot, but the wasps flying around were a pain. Unfortunately, no water spray bottles to drive away. Then my cocktail was forgotten and still charged and the beef salad was missing the ruccola on the menu. Overall, everything took a little longer. It's a shame that the food was otherwise good. Price-performance ratio a bit too expensive.

Nice garden in the middle of nowhere to Kaiserslautern. Very good, somewhat upscale cuisine, which is also known and valued as catering at Dürkheim events. Very friendly service. And WiFi in the Palatinate Forest radio hole

Very nice beer garden, super friendly service as well as the boss super friendly and ready for fun. The food was very, very good and the prices for the food are reasonable.

Palatine restaurant. Make sure to book, at the weekend it can be very crowded at noon and then you have to allow for a corresponding waiting time. The menu includes, above all, Palatine dishes, and food is good. There are always actions, right now goose. Staff is friendly endeavored. Price performance ratio is still ok. Parking is big enough, toilets are fine. In the ladies toilet there is a changing table.

I have been to Alte Schmelz several times now, the food has never been bad or the service has suffered. Very friendly staff, very very good food, I always like to come here 😀

Daily special, hacksteak, was outstanding. Great service, very friendly. Highly recommend.
